Matt Fowler

     Matt began playing the guitar at age 13. Self taught, he was instantly drawn to blues music and began studying and imitating all of the greats. By age 18 Fowler, was teaching at a local music store in his hometown of Bakersfield and lead guitarist in a respected blues band.
     Feeling it was time to move on, he moved to San Diego where he immediately began teaching and playing in the local scene. Now he owns an established music school and recording studio and even finds time to teach music at Kate Sessions elementary school in Pacific Beach. Matt divides his time between his love for music and the love of his family, his wife Blanca and his two daughters Lucia, and Natalia.
